After playing to sold out houses in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Houston, London, Berlin, Paris and Taiwan, Shen Yun Performing Arts will return to Chicago with all new 2016 program for three performances at the Rosemont Theatre February 13-14, and one performance at Civic Opera House March 15.
The New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts is the world’s premier Chinese dance and music company. Its mission is to revive China’s 5,000-year-old civilization through a program consisting of Chinese classical dance, Chinese ethnic and folk dances, bel canto-style singing, and instrumental solos. The show moves quickly through regions, dynasties, and legends as bilingual emcees introduce each act. A groundbreaking digital backdrop expands the stage in space and time.
Founded in 2006 by elite Chinese dancers, choreographers and musicians, Shen Yun performs annually from December to May in more than 100 cities throughout North and South America, Europe, Oceania and East Asia.
